BATON ROUGE - Tickets for three state lottery games - Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash Quest - that were purchased Tuesday between 1:35 p.m. and 2:11 p.m. for Tuesday night's drawing inadvertently were generated for today's drawing.
Lottery President Randy Davis said the lottery will honor winning Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash Quest tickets purchased during that time frame for drawings Tuesday and today. Lottery records indicate 1,493 Pick 3, 724 Pick 4 and 354 Cash Quest tickets were sold during that time frame, he added.
For the ticket holders in question to claim any prizes for the Tuesday night drawing, they will have to mail in their ticket or redeem it in person at the lottery's headquarters in Baton Rouge. To claim any prizes for tonight's drawing, those ticket holders can redeem their ticket at a participating lottery retailer or a lottery regional office, depending upon the prize amount.
Davis said the problem was due to an operator error at GTECH, the lottery's off-site vendor for its online game system. When the error was discovered at 2:11 p.m. Tuesday, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash Quest ticket sales were suspended. They resumed at 3:38 p.m. when the problem was corrected.
The lottery's Powerball and Lotto games were not affected. |
